Tara Devlin is from Miller Place, New York. As a junior, she competed up and down the east coast, showing in the hunters, jumpers and equitation. Tara achieved many accomplishments during those years, winning  hunter championships as well as qualifying for the USEF Medal Finals and placing in the top four in the CHJA Junior Equitation finals. Tara went to Cazenovia College her freshman year and competed on the IHSA team. Finishing up her Business Management Degree at Stony Brook University, Tara was high point  rider for her region at nationals and high point open rider for the year. As an amateur, Tara competed in the equitation and found her true passion in the jumper ring. As a professional, Tara worked at a sales farm on Long Island and was one of the Interscholastic Equestrian Team coaches at Stony Brook University. Tara is excited to bring her team-oriented attitude, as well as her experience in the saddle and the show ring to Blue Heron Farm. Tara will be joining us May 15th.
